The Cereal City Concert Band will be performing a special “Around the World in 80 Minutes” concert on Saturday, February 18th at 7:00pm at KCC’s Binda Theatre for Performing Arts. Tickets are sold at the door — $10 for Adults and $5 for Students & Seniors.
Selections include music from composers around the world — Russia, Korea, Italy, Spain, England, Finland, France, and the United States — music such as Festive Overture, Variations on a Korean Folk Song, and Finlandia, just to name a few.
Led by conductor Darin Schmidt, we are excited to welcome two special guest performers with the band, local tenor Dr. Mark Wells and WMU Graduate Assistant Tylar Bullion. Dr. Wells will grace us with his beautiful voice on Nessum Dorma from Italian composer Giacomo Puccini, and Tylar will be performing a trombone solo Morceau Symphonique by French composer Alexandre Guillmant.
The evening’s journey around the world promises to be one you won’t want to miss, not with the exceptional talents of these guest soloists.
